Volunteers - NHI inspectors are welcome to serve on various committees such as National Admissions, Professional Practices, and as Examiners * .

* Certain requirements apply (Minimum of 5 years of practical experience)

Free training, policies and procedures are provided for volunteers to help in fulfilling their job expectations.


The NHICC is an independent certification body incorporated as a federal non-profit corporation .
The NHICC obtained formal approval from key industry stakeholders to maintain the National Certification Program.
The NHICC assesses and certifies home inspectors regardless of their affiliation.
